In this live forum, an impressive panel of professional and practical experts will discuss the importance of accessible public and private transportation to community inclusion. As part of our year-long Willowbrook Anniversary Series, we will also explore how systemic ableism impacts access to transportation in New York State. The discussion will highlight:
- Transportation barriers commonly encountered by people with disabilities
- The impact of transportation barriers on access to employment, education, recreation, and community services
- Strategies for combatting ableism in transportation access
